Two of the most important values that we uphold in our business are gratitude and flexibility. We are always grateful for the opportunity to work alongside clients, many of whom become dear friends. Establish relationships for the long-term is part of our service plan, and in order to do that, we know that we must remain flexible. It’s important to us that we create YOUR experience, not our own. Part of your experience that you control is how much—or how little—your guests see The At Home Chef team. We can announce and describe dinner to your guests, subtly serve the dishes, or quietly exit after the meal is prepared.
Many clients love for us to be involved in their event, and we’re proud and honored to do that. Our involvement sometimes includes full exposure: preparing your food in the kitchen and presenting the food and meal to your guests. We can include education about the menu, the food sources, how we’ve prepared it, and any significance it has to you as the host. Our team is very comfortable mixing and mingling with guests if you feel like that would enhance your evening and contribute to it in a positive and fun way.
Some of our favorite events include a high level of engagement, where we get to chat with your friends, family, or colleagues and talk about our process. And, let’s be honest – we’re going to make you look great. It’s part of the job!
On the other side of the scale, there is a lot of happiness and satisfaction we get when we can stay out of sight and let you shine on your own. We know you don’t need us to engage with your guests or company, and for many clients, their evening or event runs best if we focus on preparing and serving a beautiful meal while they run the conversation. We take pride in the work we do, and we know that you are trusting us to help your evening be a success!
In fact, we’ll never forget the client (we won’t tell you his name!) who planned an amazing romantic date at home for his significant other. We worked together to design a gorgeous menu and prepare all the food for him. The day of the event, we came, prepped the food in his kitchen, and left him to take it from there. It was exactly what he wanted to make the night memorable without the added pressure of preparing gourmet dinner on his own.
At the end of the day, YOU are our top priority, and we will be flexible to your requests and grateful for the opportunity. If you have a special evening coming up and want to talk through your options of working with The At Home Chef, let us know!
